Could you please upload the definition in .ghx format that Alexandra sent you?
It would be great, since I’m working in something similar… I’m using the same ‘star’ component for my surface šŸ˜‰

Thank you,
Irene

Nice work. I was wondering if you have the grasshopper script for the unroll that you used in this project? Currently I have a project with a panelized surface and I am looking for ways to unroll them more efficiently than doing it one by one manually.
Thanks

Thank you for posting your great work. I am curious since I can’t open WRM file you posted, How are you able to achieve the gradient openings for the ‘stars.’ Did you utilize attractors?

Regards,

Ayaz

I managed to find a copy of grasshopper 0.59 and have the file working, I can send you a ghx if want a copy? The definition is pretty self explanatory, and very clever.

Thanks again

Iain

So, here’s the thing about that, back when I made this grasshopper was in version .5xxxx and was called explicit history, not “grasshopper,” and the files were in .wrm format not the .ghx format. That’s a long way of saying that I can’t open the definition anymore because the file format is no longer supported. If you have an old version of grasshopper laying around you can try and open the file. Here’s the file:

If you want to start a definition going I can take a look at it and we could probably re-create the definition. -J
